Know Before You Book

Booking, Refunds & Cancellation Policies

Each guest (referred to below as “you”) must familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions below, and the information on our website. By submitting a deposit or payment, you agree, on behalf of yourself and all other individuals that you book for, to be bound by the terms and conditions below. Your further agree that you are acting as an agent for such other individuals and these terms and conditions shall apply to them

Refunds will NOT be given in the event that weather prevents a trip from proceeding. It is rare that weather or unsafe travel conditions prevent a trip from going ahead.

**We strongly recommend that participants purchase travel insurance to cover losses due to these circumstances**


TRAINING COURSES & DAY TRIPS

For all training courses and day trips totalling less than $750.00 per person, full payment is due at the time of registration with a credit card via our online booking platform (BOOK IT).

Unfortunately your payment is non-refundable unless you can find a replacement participant for your course or trip. If you must cancel your training or trip, contact us and we can work together to try and fill your spot. If we can, we will issue you a refund. The sooner we know, the better!

CUSTOM TRIPS

For multi-day and custom trips valuing greater than $750.00 per person, full payment is due upon booking. Costs for custom trips will be calculated based on the trip we work with you to design (GO CUSTOM). We will provide a credit card or e-transfer payment option for these trips. 

If you cancel more than 60 days prior to the start of your trip, Skookum will retain the 50% deposit.

Once full payment is received, your trip fee is NON-REFUNDABLE unless you can find a replacement participant for your trip. Substitute participants are accepted in most cases provided the substitute participant meets the requirements and prerequisites associated with the trip.

Waivers & Medical Forms

Before you submit any payment for a course or trip, you are required to view the applicable waiver(s) and medical form. All guests, including yourself and anyone participating under your reservation, are required to sign the applicable Waiver(s) before the commencement of the trip/course.  If the waiver(s) are not completed, participation will not be allowed.

PLEASE READ THE WAIVER(S) CAREFULLY! By signing you will waive or give up the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident. If you are booking for others, it is your responsibility to inform them of this waiver requirement and give them an opportunity to review the applicable waiver(s) prior to booking and making payment.

You can download the PDFs and review them below. You can complete the medical form prior to the arriving. The Waiver(s) will be provided for you at the start of your course or trip.

Before you submit your payment, you will have to indicate that you, and all others you are booking for, have had the opportunity to read the applicable waiver(s) and understand the waiver requirement to participate.

AST Level 1 and Level 2 Courses

AST courses require a second Waiver.
